This article first appeared on Christian Today Like my colleague Joseph Hartropp, I love the Netflix drama The Crown. It was … Continue reading The Queen and Billy Graham

Whether it’s Mel Gibson shouting “Freedom” as he is hung, drawn and quartered, or Martin Luther King crying “Free at last, free at last, thank God Almighty we are free … Continue reading Does Christianity Restrict Freedom? This is no.13 in the apologetics series for Christian Today – you can get the original Here If the Church is supposed to be the ultimate apologetic for Christ (“all men will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another”), it seems as though the case for Christ is very weak! The general attitude is perhaps summed up best by the … Continue reading What Have the Christians Ever Done for Us? Apologetics 101 No.13
This is Oliver Hirschbiegel’s version of the life of Georg Elser and his failed attempt (by 13 minutes) to kill Hitler before the Second World War began. Given that Hirschbiegel made the brilliant ‘Downfall’, I was expecting this to be good and my expectations were met. I loved everything about this film, the cinematography, the story telling, the acting….brilliant. It also left me … Continue reading 13 Minutes – a short review of a brilliant film.
