  1. “Fight against him with the sword of my mouth” – not “Christian”? Is what is perceived as “Christian” in contemporary of Christ? If not, then conduct being described as “unChristian” must surely be regarded as a badge of honour.

Religion of progressivism – there’s nothing new with this. Nietzsche called it “preachers of equality” ‘You preachers of equality, thus from you the tyrant-madness of impotence cries for ‘equality’: thus your most secret tyrant-appetite disguises itself in words of virtue.

Noe sense of the power and presence of God in public worship? Now you get David why pretty much I have given up on “institutionalised” religion. Rather I attend the Word Community for Christian Meditation where in the meditation process the presence of the Lord is invited in silent prayer with the word maranatha. Which in Aramaic means “come Lord”. And the prayer “may this silence be a power to open the hearts of men and women to the vision of God and so to each other, in love and peace, justice and human dignity.”

    1. David Pawson spoke on the 7 letters about 20 years ago, and said that German archaeologists had relocated much of the temple to Zeus in Pergamum to Berlin about 110 years ago. German Christians were horrified that the Temple of Satan had been brought to them.

  2. “The biggest danger is not from the world, but from within the church itself.”

My view entirely. The church has been seduced and has adopted compromise – ‘in the name of love’ – as a new doctrine. It is telling and quite apparent, that those being led astray are generally those not well versed in scripture – those who rely on others to tell them what the Bible says rather than studying it for themselves.
