Parents – Take Back Control

Imagine the scene. You are a child in school attending a guidance class and are told by the teacher, ‘There are 73 different genders.’ When one of the pupils pointed out that there were two genders, they were laughed at by the rest of the class. This was not in a school in California, or Brighton. This was on the island of Lewis. And this is not unusual. Pupils all over the UK, including Scotland, are being indoctrinated in the latest sexual philosophy, known as Queer theory.

Clear Muslims

Screenshot 2019-04-08 at 10.46.38Not everyone agrees; some people are resisting. When Parkside Community school in Birmingham sought to impose a sex education/relationships programme entitled ‘No Outsiders’, it was so strongly opposed by the parents that it had to be withdrawn. This was because the majority of parents are Muslim. I was impressed by how articulate and reasoned the Muslim spokespeople were – despite the desperate attempt by the UK media to portray them as homophobic bigots. Now another four Muslim majority schools have also withdrawn the programme. Meanwhile in schools up and down the land, Christian parents are allowing their rights to be overridden and are meekly acquiescing in this new programme of state indoctrination. Ofsted have made it a priority to ensure that LGBTQI indoctrination is practiced in every school.

Confused Christians

Many Christian parents are confused about this because of the language that is used. After all we all want to live in world of ‘love’ where there are no outsiders and everyone is respected. We all deplore the idea of people being bullied. But we need to understand that under the Trojan horse of teaching tolerance and being against bullying, the LGBT activists are seeking to impose a sexual philosophy that is at its core both anti-Christian and harmful to humanity.

Bullying

Take for example the threat of bullying. We all want to stop bullying but does that necessitate teaching Queer theory to our children? Would it not be better to deter bullying by teaching the biblical truth that all human beings are made in the image of God and are as such to be treated with dignity and respect? Besides which, the extent of homophobic and transphobic bullying has been greatly exaggerated. The “Ditch the Label’ annual bullying survey of 2017 says 50% have experienced bullying because of their appearance – but only 4% because of sexuality and 3% because of gender identity. These are the least important categories for bullying. 91% of teachers say they have never or rarely seen transphobic bullying (81% for homosexual bullying). But on the basis of self-selecting surveys from Stonewall and other LGBT advocacy groups the government pour large sums of money into these groups in order to help them propagate their doctrines. It pays Stonewall and others to exaggerate the extent of bullying.

State Sponsored Child Abuse

Under that guise they are now seeking to impose, with the full blessing of the government, a philosophy that is not only anti-Christian but is harmful to all children. It’s a form of child abuse to tell children that they can choose their own gender. One seven year girl from my church came home to her parents in tears, ‘Mummy, am I a boy or a girl? Because the teacher says I can choose.’ Another 14-year-old boy was told by his guidance teacher that he might be suffering from depression because he was a girl trapped in the wrong body. This is nothing but state sponsored child abuse.

It is not a coincidence that mental distress amongst our children has increased exponentially in recent years. Serious eating disorders, self-harm and other forms of mental disorder, including GID (Gender Identity Disorder) are on the rise. The progressive activists have largely switched from gay issues to trans issues and as a result we are bombarded almost every day with endless stories about how gender is just a social construct and those who wish to change gender can do so just by self-identifying as whatever gender they wish.

This, along with the use of the internet, has resulted in the Tavistock Clinic for gender reassignment being overwhelmed with the increase in children presenting with symptoms of gender distressed fluidity. The quiescent rate within the population which remained at 0.07% has in the last 9 years increased by a factor of 4,415 (from 40 in 2009/10 to 1806 in 2017/18).

The UK governments proposed RSE programme is also a form of child grooming. “Child grooming is befriending and establishing an emotional connection with a child, and sometimes the family, to lower the child’s inhibitions with the objective of sexual abuse.” (NSPCC) Whilst I accept that this is not the intent of the government and the pressure groups putting this forward, it is the effective result. This sexual indoctrination of young children prepares them for early sexual experimentation, normalises it and, in so doing, opens the door for sexual predators. I was saddened to hear of a youth sex counsellor in my own city of Dundee handing out condoms to children as young as ten in a park near my home. What message does that convey?

Grooming is also facilitated in many cases when there is a removal of parental authority and control. Remember that the new RSE is compulsory with no parental opt outs allowed. As of September 2020, Relationships Education will become mandatory in all primary schools in England (both state and independent), and Relationships and Sexual Education will become mandatory in all secondary schools. The desperation of the Scottish government to be ahead of the UK in the progressive race to the bottom will ensure that we are not far behind. It is incredible that it is a Conservative government (doubtless thinking that it will rid them of the ‘nasty party’ label) which is spearheading this. The government makes no secret that its aim is to use the education system to promote LGBT lifestyles and identities. Ofsted have already made this a major part of their school inspection regime.

Human Rights

Christian parents need to follow the example of our fellow Muslim citizens by insisting on our basic human right to have our children educated according to our own beliefs. Article 26 (3) of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights: ‘Parents have a prior right to choose the kind of education that shall be given to their children.’ Article 18 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights: ‘Everyone has the right to freedom of thought, conscience and religion; this right includes freedom to change his religion or belief, and freedom, either alone or in community with others and in public or private, to manifest his religion or belief in teaching, practice, worship and observance.”

European law states the same principle: ‘In the exercise of any functions which it assumes in relation to education and to teaching, the State shall respect the right of parents to ensure such education and teaching is in conformity with their own religious and philosophical convictions.’ (First Protocol, Article 2)

Scottish law abides by the same principle. ‘… education authorities shall have regard to the general principle that, so far as is compatible with the provision of suitable instruction and training and the avoidance of unreasonable public expenditure, pupils are to be educated in accordance with the wishes of their parents.’ Section 28 of the Education (Scotland) Act 1980

Education authorities, under pressure from Stonewall and The Equality Network, do not have the right to undermine parents by taking away their right to have their children educated according to their religious and philosophical convictions. Even as I write this editorial, I am listening to Prime Minister’s Questions where, amongst other issues, the Prime Minister is answering a question put forward by a Labour spokesperson, stating that if parents want to be responsible for their children’s education on this issue they are bigots!

Here We Stand

For the sake of not only our own children but for the love of others (especially the poor, who are the ones most affected by this sexual experimentation and indoctrination) we must take a stand in the State schools. It’s not enough for us to survive on fond memories of when we are at school, we need to know what is happening now. We need to support teachers, headteachers and other staff, whether Christians or not, who are prepared to make a stand against the intimidation and bullying. And if that does not work, we need to ask what we are doing in sending our children to be schooled and indoctrinated with anti-Christian teaching, and return to Knox’s principle of ‘where you have a church, there you have a school.’ It’s not just about human rights – it’s about our God given responsibilities. It’s the same question that faced the 1st century Christians – who will we obey, Caesar or the Lord?

  1. It just makes common sense that there are multiple genders how many I don’t know so I suggest all religious parents stop indoctrinating their helpless children with the nonsense that is religion and in that way we can end bigotry

    1. ‘It just makes common sense that there are multiple genders’ is about as meaningful, rational and scientific a line as ‘it just makes common sense that there are unicorns”. If your comment is the result of your atheist indoctrination then you have made my point for more Christian based education!

      1. I was brought up going to church ect ect so u believe in a invisible man in the sky deciding everything that happens OK delusional but ur CHOICE genders r real u can talk with people who u can actually see and they will tell u what gender they identify as being now I’ve been on this planet a long time and seen NO evidence of any god but I have seen the hate that religion breeds

      2. Colin – can I suggest the church you were brought up in must not have been up to much if it taught you that God is an invisible man in the sky! I would suggest you do a bit of biology as well – we no more choose our gender than we do our skin colour. And yes there is a lot of hate – from all sorts. Only Christ who is Love gets rid of that

      3. Colin, invisible man in the sky? Now who exactly is the delusional one?

To believe that everything came from nothing is the most delusional belief ever. Its totally unscientific. Something cannot come from nothing,it is an impossibility.

You see no evidence of God? You must be walking around blindfolded. Look around at the finely tuned universe that allows for the possibility of life to be sustained on earth.

This link shows how impossible it is that we came from nothing.

I hope you read this and call on the very real God of creation before it is too late my friend.

  2. This is awful! All children and their parents should have the right to determine how they teach about genders. As a Christian, I know that there are two because that is how many the Lord God has created. Others who believe that there are more will discover the truth one day, perhaps when they are standing before the Lord. In the meantime, it is sad that the gay community is forcing these beliefs on innocent children.

  3. If I’m not mistaken I believe the muslim parents protesting No Outsiders we joined by Stephen Green of Christian Voice UK. I don’t know if any of his Christian subscribers were present.

  4. I was home educated by Christian parents which is a good option. Even if state education is forced on our kids, remember Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego who were able to make a stand in a pagan educational environment…

  5. Thank you, as usual, you are one of the few Christians speaking out on this issue. Bishop Gavin Ashenden has also written about this and Will Jones on the Faith and Politics website. All parents need to understand that this evil is coming from the top – the UN guidelines for sex education in Europe. They are horrendous and start from age 0. Children are not safe in nursery school under these guidelines – masturbation to be encouraged and sexual language for body parts. Will Jones has listed the guidelines in his website under “This sexual brainwashing of our children must stop”.
The House of Commons has passed the Act by an overwhelming majority, but the House of Lords is having a debate because there has been so much public opposition. You are right, parents need to start being very vocal. One parent told me that her 11 year old child had come home and said “I think I must be bi-sexual because I like boys and girls” – from a Church of England Primary School!

    1. Tricia,
Is this an Act of Parliament.? Or is it a Bill passed by the HoCommons which is now being debated by the HoLords before voting
It needs to be passed by both Chambers before becoming statute
Passage may be a formality in the Lords, but not always.
Apologies for being both in ignorance, as to the the current state of play, and a pedant.

      1. Geoff: The Bill was passed with an overwhelming majority in the House and is due to be debated by the Lords. Their Lordships have had such a number of letters of complaint that they have decided it needs a debate. The Values Foundation for Faith and Family is crowdfunding (asking for a £1 donation) to enable them to make a legal challenge, but there is a short time frame as only 40 days between the House passing the bill to it being made law. Dr Lisa Nolland has written an open letter to their Lordships regarding the psychological damage caused to children and it can be found on the Anglican Mainstream blog.

    2. But it’s OK to teach children about religion from day one even though u have no proof and it’s actually child abuse because these kids don’t have the voice to say no. So the hate that is religion continues. The UN ect r only trying to teach equality next u will want to stop teaching Darwins fact of evolution and say that creationism is real sad sad victims of no free thought

      1. Yes – I think its a great idea to educate children….if you had benefited from that education it would have saved you from the illiterate and incoherent post you have just made. If teaching is ‘child abuse’ then teaching anything is child abuse! Before you can have free thought you need to learn to think!

      2. What a bigoted gob load of shite so u want the invisible lord to choose what is equality and what is just wrong. I read ur whole article well ur God knows all so it will see through ur blatant lies and manipulation of the facts.
I’ll teach u something if people who stand for the truth or call them scientific facts catch children early enough then we can change a society and go down a road of equality and love everything thar religion doesn’t teach. Oh and the muslim parents(mostly not parents,) in Birmingham are never going to win.
And on commenting on my literacy always a cheap shot from a looser probably old git pretty irrelevant human being literacy DON’T matter on the Internet.

      3. Colin – forgive me for permitting our post on my blog…but this will be the last. Literacy does matter on the Internet – it helps you communicate. If you can feel free to point out any lie in the article. You did after all say they are ‘blatant’?!

You state that you want equality and love – but you have no basis for the former and show no evidence of the latter. Your post is filled with hate….

  6. How long, I wonder, before the same Muslim parents would begin to bristle at what you seem to be suggesting for all schools, ie: that they function as Christian institutions.

Are you okay with the idea of Christian children being educated in schools run according to Muslim ideals?

Acquaintances of mine told me of their decision to remove their child from a private Christian school and enrol them in a public school because they were uncomfortable with the religious ideas their child was repeating at home. I asked them what they had expected when sending their child to a Christian school.

    1. No – I would not send my children to a ‘Muslim’ school, but I would not deprive Muslim parents of the same right I demand for myself…thats what living in a pluralistic society means…

  7. Thank you David for bringing this to my attention.

Is there somewhere that we can get hold of the syllabus (whether UN, EU or British) that contains the topics to be taught and the resources that are recommended?

I wrote a “teach your children godly sexuality” about 3 years ago and am starting to write books for children to present this message but I want to ensure I am well researched on queer theory and what is being taught so I can ensure that they cover all the topics.

    Many thanks.

    1. John – the C of E are allowing ‘Educate and Celebrate” into their schools. Their website says that topics will be embedded in the curriculum, therefore, making it impossible to remove your child. A stated aim of this organisation is to “smash heteronormativity”.
The UN list is on the Faith-and-Politics website under “The Sexual brainwashing of our children must stop”. Dr Judith Reismann is an expert and was consulted by the Croatian Government, who then refused the Sex Ed programme.

  8. ” all human beings are made in the image of God and are as such to be treated with dignity and respect?”
1 Timothy 2:12 “I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man, she must be silent.”
1 Samuel 15:3 ‘Now go and strike Amalek and devote to destruction all that they have. Do not spare them, but kill both man and woman, child and infant, ox and sheep, camel and donkey.’ ”
1 Peter 2:18 “Slaves, submit yourselves to your masters with all respect, not only to the good and gentle but also to the cruel.”
Your confusion between sex and gender is blatantly obvious.
1 in 5 LGBTQ report having been attacked, assaulted or insulted and that is just the ones that are reported, many are not. The recent attack on two lesbians in London is just one case.
Do you actually understand what the word “indoctrination” actually means?
“the process of teaching a person or group to accept a set of beliefs uncritically.”
You make it sound that LGBTQ are trying to convert children to become part of that society instead of just being tolerant it.
You have been indoctrinated into a religion, I expect you use the King James ( a known bisexual) bible, which changed and added many of the verses.
Please, before publishing another inaccurate statement such as this a quick Google search would work wonders for your credulity amongst none Christians.

    1. Oh dear Stephanie – in your attempt to be smart and to mock I’m afraid you are just showing up your own ignorance and prejudice. Why not take some time and actually study and think about what you are saying? Can I also challenge you to answer my question- what is the equality that secular humanists say they believe in based on? What is the foundation of that equality?

      As for your errors..

      1) Don’t rely on ‘quick Google searches’ – try reading books and doing some thinking for yourself…not just googling for your own confirmation bias.

      2) The LGBTQ agenda is not just about tolerance…in fact it is one of the most intolerant of agendas. The teaching of Queer theory is about much more than tolerance.

      3) The attacks in London and others have nothing to do with Christianity or the Church. What kind of anti-religious bigot are you?

      4) Please feel free to explain how sex and gender are not related….scientific evidence please – not just your faith.

      5) Why do you make a homophobic statement about King James? What does his sexuality have to do with the translation (you do know he didn’t do the transaltion?)

      6) I don’t use the King James – although it is an excellent version.
YOur understanding and cut and paste approach to these bible verses just demonstrates your ignorance…but I forgive you…meanwhile feel free to answer the first questions asked.

      5)
