Hi David. My wife and I listen to Quantum each week and also your daily reflections. We appreciate them very much. Thanks for the balanced way in which you treat things especially the situation in Gaza.
I do have questions about your comments about Ukraine. Whilst I agree that Ukraine wasn’t perfect and also appreciate what you say about a negotiated settlement being needed in the end and would have saved a lot of lives if done earlier, I do wonder if that would be right. Do we really understand Putin? If he is allowed to retain any of the land illegally taken won’t he just want more in the future? Won’t this put the Baltic States at risk? By your logic should we have had a settlement (appeasement) with Hitler?

Thanks. Would you consider Church Safeguarding in 2024? We blame ‘secularism’ for Western Church collapse, but is the cover up of adult and child ill-treatment a major issue? Chapter Five of ‘Letters to a Broken Church’ says a lot in very few pages. Failure to adhere to Lambeth 1:10 comes in a variety of forms. Have contempt for celibate people, and disregard of extramarital sex, defiled the contemporary Church at times?
I have no idea what church safeguarding is! Yes adult and child ill treatment is a major issue….and yes to your last question…
