You misquote Trump quite substantially. It was certainly gauche (as Trump typically is) but it was not racist. I am sure he would say the same to Piers Morgan in the right context. But your right. He is playing the Democrats and the media.

I once had a letter published in a Scottish newspaper. Soon afterwards I got a letter from somebody telling me to go back to where I came from. Eh? Well, i was living in Scotland and I was brought up in England. Maybe he meant i should go back to England. But he wouldn’t know that. Much more likely he looked at my Irish surname and meant I should go ‘back’ to somewhere I had never set foot in!
Is it bigoted for Bercow to call out bigots? What happens if he was opposing racists or slave-owners would he have to keep quiet? Should freedom of religion include freedom of discriminate? It is a matter of historical record that slave-owners used to use the Bible to support slavery, and racists used the Bible to support segregation and apartheid? Is that their freedom of religion? Am I bigoted for bringing up this history?
SO you equate those who disagree with you on SSM with slave owners?! That is bigotry….Bercow’s job is to be the neutral speaker in parliament – not to impose his own bigoted views.
What about Ian Blackford’s freedom of religion? Is he allowed to have freedom of conscience or do you have to give up your freedom of conscience and freedom to think as soon as you join an authoritarian-style church?
Yes – of course he is allowed to have freedom of religion. He can choose which religion he wants to belong to. But if he professes to be a Christian and belongs to a Christian church, then the least we can expect is for him to uphold and believe Christ’s teaching – otherwise he is open to the charge of being a hypocrite. Futhermore you are missing the issue here. What Mr Blackford is doing – is seeking to impose his ideology on another country. He should not have the freedom to do that…it’s what we call authoritarian dictatorship.
