Re Mark Driscoll: Chaste is not the same as celibate, and the fact that Jesus was both chaste AND celibare does not exhaust the biblical teaching about God’s design for mawwiage.
Pete no one says that Jesus being chaste and celibate is exhausts the bible’s teaching on marriage – or indeed Jesus’s! The problem with Driscoll’s sermon is that he states that men would not follow a celibate/chaste man who was poor…..ie. they would not follow Jesus!

I was surprised at your epicaricacy at Richard Dawkins’ situation. Having read his resignation letter, I could well imagine you writing in such gracious terms, albeit in very different circumstances, to those you felt had let you down. I detect God’s hand in this. Your old adversary might be needing a friend.
I stop short of the suggestion that you desist from playing music. However, aligning yourself with Bob Dylan does nothing to improve “The Witchita Lineman”. What about a classic like “Sheena Is a Punk Rocker” by the Ramones, as the best song ever.
My prediction for 2025, is that you will still not play “There’s No Lights on the Christmas Tree Momma”
