Have you written a discussion on the present Israel crisis? If not, is one in the pipeline? You may have already written and I missed it. I’m particularly interested in the issue of proportionality. In the present conflict. How do we measure proportionality? The other issue for me is pre- 1948. How many ‘Palestinians’ were in Palestine.? How ruthless was Israel in making it difficult for them to stay? Questions arise in my mind around the moral validity of the state of Israel vis-à-vis the occupants of the land at that time. Thorny questions, I know, but I hope you have some clarity on this. Generally, I am persuaded by Douglas Murray but so far I’ve not heard a good discussion on Israel’s initial settlement in the eland. Trust you are well. I know you may well be unable to write on this; you are a busy man and it is nor a simple issue.

On the biblical front I believe in a kind of national salvation of Israel at the end of the age. I also think Israel involved in cnflict with the nations is possible on the basis of Zech 14. I am a bit more tentative here.
