Songs for Sunday 47 – All Glory be to Christ – Auld Lang Syne

This is a hymn for the New Year….All glory be to Christ – sung to the tune of Auld Lang Syne….We sang it at church tonight – in response to a marvellous sermon…highly appropriate…made me feel a wee bit homesick though!  For both my worldly and my eternal home!

  1. Beautiful, this new hymn is like a breath of fresh air!
Thank you David, and also to your sources.
May you all have a hope filled new year!

  2. David, Thank You..!

Amazing and beautiful rendition sung with power and verve by those gifted & Godly singers.

Best version of the tune ‘Auld Lang Syne’ I have ever heard.., thus far.., your sources are simply great..!

Every blessing in Oz for 2023

  3. ‘Should nothing of our efforts stand no legacy survive’ in the opening song line posted, called to mind a great article in The Scots Magazine for Nov 2022. A Hebridean friend posted me a paper copy, but I think it’s also accessible on Pressreader. The story of Rev John Ross, and the translation of the NT into Korean, was a great article and inspiring. If Rev Ross is looking down from heaven, he will be marvelling at the growth of the Church in Korea. Maybe modern Scotland now needs Korean missionaries and evangelists? ‘Cast you bread upon the waters….’ Should we sow in 2023 and not worry if results are not quickly visible?
