These verses of that significant and memorable hymn ‘O God our help in ages past’, came to mind:
‘Time, like an ever-rolling stream,
soon bears us all away.
We fly forgotten, as a dream
dies at the opening day.
O God, our help in ages past,
our hope for years to come,
still be our guard while troubles last,
and our eternal home.’
Isaac Watt’s words remind us of his source in Psalm 90; and the heading added in the NASB is “God’s Eternity and Man’s Transitoriness”.
Verse 2 has: ‘Even from everlasting to everlasting, Thou art God’.
