Are you Washed in the Blood?

Walking alongside a spiritual mentor, I’ve been able to discover the truth and saving power of Christ in a whole new way. This new life has given me a peace in my heart I’d never experienced before. Now that I have given everything to God, nothing else affects me. I now live and play with the freedom of knowing His plan will always happen, and at the end of the day, that’s all I care about!” Siya Kolasi

  1. “[A] US Judge declaring that the constitution insists that all doctors and nurses must perform abortions if asked”.

Logically, that makes sense. So from *that* POV, it is not in the least surprising. I seem to recall that the Prophets had some severe things to say about unrighteous laws. Isaiah, the “Evangelical Prophet”, in particular.

  2. Re the allegations re Prince Andrew, these definitely have been reported in the UK. I live in the UK and watch either BBC news or Channel 4 most days and the allegations were widely reported. The denials of the palace are always reported as well but the allegations are definitely out there and have also provided fodder for BBC political satire programmes. There has also been a Channel 4 Dispatches investigation – I’ve linked two BBC news items and a review of the investigation below.

  3. I feel somewhat strange defending Paula White but I think you may be misinterpreting what she was saying. When she says ‘To say no to President Trump would be saying no to God.’ couldn’t she simply be saying that her sense was that God was calling her to do this and if she refused she would be disobeying God? If that is all she was doing it is hardly heresy.

Now excuse me while I take a shower. 🙂

    1. In her other statements she made it perfectly clear that Christians should vote for Trump or be disobedient to God. It astounds me how many evangelical Christians are prepared to defend her – just because she is pro-Trump! (not including you in that category!)

  4. With regard to Q&A, I don’t often agree with the right-wing polemicist Andrew Bolt, but he is spot-on here:

“The host of the show is also a feminist.”

For whatever it is worth, she is also a lesbian:

    “I love the Bundesliga”.

It might surprise you to know I do too! My poor old Hamburg SV haven’t done too well in recent times though. (I also have a soft spot for Schalke.)

    For something really surreal though:

  5. Earlier Bundesliga club with explanation of the name:

With regard to the royal scandal, thank goodness Prince Andrew isn’t the first in line for the throne. I just wonder if this scandal will have more legs or if the palace’s alleged attempt at hushing it up will be successful. It does show how the powerful can silence things.

By the way, I hope and pray your sermons at Wellspring in Sandy Bay in Tassie went well. I have never been to that church and only rarely walked past it as I did not spend much time in the Sandy Bay area – your Twitter/Instagram photo was actually the first time I have seen what that church looks like inside, so thank you for that!

  6. Re; Doula UK after transgender activists branded her Facebook message claiming only women can have babies ‘offensive’

Who else could say it better than Monty Python?.

”It is symbolic of our struggle against oppression.”
”Symbolic of his struggle against reality.”
