Re the new Dundee University Halls of Residence – why has no Christian organisation put money into developing a set of Halls for Christian students?
Interesting comments from the Scottish “farmer” – sounds like he wants to go back to the good old days of the Clearances – where sheep created the Highland desert landscape we see today and the population became immigrants to other countries. The reality is that the fire took hold quickly and not enough resources were deployed initially to put it out.
No the sheep didn’t create a desert….and the Highland landscape is not a desert. The farmer was arguing for managed land – it is the ‘rewilders’ who want to return to a desert!
Interesting. If we look at the 2025 Dava mega fire – Dava has no history of rewilding on the moor – it is estate managed in the old tradition – yet it conflated in the same way as the current fire.
