Hi David, I listened with amusement this morning to todays quantum. One chap had emailed in about how he listens while mowing the lawn. Fridays are the day we do weekly housework in our house. I do the hovering and clean the kitchen while wifie does the rest. Hovering takes around 50 minutes. I adorn my headphones and tune into quantum,so I had a little chuckle to myself when I heard about that chap mowing the lawn. Cadburys do an ad on TV here asking how do you eat yours while giving examples of what others do while eating theirs. You should start a survey asking how do you listen to quantum lol. Take care. Excellent podcast as usual.
I think that should have been hoovering lol
David I wouldn’t be so sure about the demise of the SNP. The way things are shaping up they could well be the largest party yet again in next year’s Holyrood election. Here’s why-
1 They can count on between 30-40% of voters to support them, no matter what as they see them as the way to independence.
2 The Labour government in Westminster has already alienated a lot of would be former SNP supporters and next year they will be in the trough of midterm discontent.
3 Stephen Noon. The most significant political operator who was appointed by John Swinney as a special adviser in October last year and who few have heard of. He is an ex Jesuit and a much thoughtful and less tribal operator than we had in the Sturgeon years. Already you can witness the change. Gone are the extremest gender/ LGBT stuff, green policies (heat pumps ) and even talk of independence. Swinney has succeeded by doing, well, next to nothing really.
I despair at the thought of another term of SNP government but the opposition parties are so politically inept it looks like more of the same. Sorry!
