Christian Living Jesus Christ Personal Sermons the Church Worship

This is Love – a Personal Story – plus ‘Forgive us our Debts’ and ‘Party On’ Ecclesiastes 7

This week has been quite a tough week – so it has served as a great example of how the Word of God applies to us in all situations –

Here is yesterdays….

I felt there was an unusual attentiveness on Sunday morning – Here is the sermon from that

Matthew 6:12 – This was a great text to have on Australia day – the subject of forgiveness – personal, local and national….(music at the beginning is from Chin-Hwi who played the violin during the service)

And for good measure here is the evening….

  1. Hi David Two great sermons today. Im in Australia just now visiting my wife’s relatives. It’s hot here. Blessings m y friend.

  2. Hello David. thank you for this reflection. Are there any reasons why you did not mention prayer in the message? For the past few years I have been going through an extremely trying personal issue. I have found prayer an essential tool in helping get me through this. I will be praying for you also.

    1. Thanks Lee Ann – I didn’t mention prayer because the passage doesn’t do so and I am seeking to do a short comment on each verse in the passage. That is if you are referring to the Coffee with John video. If you are referring to the Forgive us our Debts – it is all about prayer – because it is an exposition of the Lord’s Prayer

  3. Thank you for sharing this — your honesty in talking about a tough week and connecting it to scripture brings such comfort. The reflection on forgiveness, both in our relationships and with God, is so powerful. Your personal story paired with the message from Ecclesiastes 7 made me pause and really think about love, mercy, and grace.
