  1. Labour representatives and seniors do have a conscience. This has been evident recently during interviews. It’s not a case of failing to fool the media or the public. “Do they struggle to fool themelves?” is the thought coming to mind on seeing some of their contorted faces and shrill voices, The appear loaded with boiling emotion, even in response to very simple queries.

  2. On the perpetrators of horrendous abuse of vulnerable persons:

    Oh! they read their Bibles.

One can read the Bible and nonetheless be selective in applying one’s learnings. It is those who chop and choose from the Bible that we must be most suspect of.

  3. I have every respect for you to express you views – but this podcast comes across as pretty racist and Islamophobic. The evidence coming out over the weekend and that which has been in the public domain since these gangs were exposed shows little different between racial groups perpetrating these heinous crimes.

    1. How sad that you just simply state that I am racist and Islamaphobic and offer no evidence. It’s a cheap and nasty post. Can you tell us anything I said that is not true? Anything that is racist? Or Islamaphobic? And can you tell us about this ‘evidence’ over the weekend which shows there is little difference between racial groups perpertuating these heinous crimes? Which other racial gamgs are going round raping thousands of white working class teenagers? Evidence please – not just assertion…

      1. See for example- https://www.thetimes.com/uk/society/article/grooming-gangs-ethnicities-how-many-statistics-data-dpx2bfrts and from Dundee – https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c8xj559g571o.amp

You appear to assert all Asians are Muslims. How many of the gangs are actual practising Muslims – you appear to have the figures. In my experience practicing Muslims have a high standard of both religious awareness and mortality.

Jess Phillips majority was cut by the inability of Labour to do anything to about the situation in Gaza. Suggesting the gang situation may have had an effect on this without any evidence is concerning

      2. I can’t read the Times article because it is behind a paywall – the Dundee one is irrelevant because no one is arguing that ALL grooming gangs are Muslim, or that all Muslims support grooming gangs. But the fact is that a disproportionate number of the rape gangs are made up of Pakistani and Bangladeshi Muslim men who raped these teenage girls because they are white….that is the real racism – not my podcast! This may help you -https://unherd.com/newsroom/are-pakistani-muslims-overrepresented-in-sexual-abuse-of-girls/?tl_inbound=1&tl_groups%5B0%5D=18743&tl_period_type=3&utm_source=UnHerd+Today&utm_campaign=206919f254-EMAIL_CAMPAIGN_2025_01_13_09_48&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_79fd0df946-206919f254-34684397

I do not assert that all Asians are Muslims (you seem to have a penchant for reading into things what you want to see!) – most Indians are not, nor Chinese…and there are 2 million Pakistani Christians. I don’t think it is wise to judge the whole situation by your (or my) experience. It’s hardly likely you would have come across Muslim grooming gangs!

The point about Jess Phillips is not that her majority was cut by an anti-Israel, pro-Palestinian campaign – but that this was effective because a considerable part of her constituency is Muslim – and she cannot afford to lose any more votes to that part. Just think if you are calling me Islamaphobic for suggesting that there is a link between the Pakistani Muslim culture and rape gangs – what do you think would happen to her if she allowed that question to be asked?

      3. It’s interesting and sad….assuming the piece is not satire or irony its about the worse comment I have read on this issue. It’s full of ignorance and hatred. It assumes that they can judge peoples motives and just follows the cheap trope of saying that anyone who disagrees with them is ‘far right’. But worst of all it ignores or minimises the suffering of tens of thousands of white working class teenage girls, in order to justify their own ideology. It is a sick and evil post – and I am surprised you linked to it….

    2. Lee Ann, there are individual rapists of all ethnicities, but actual rape gangs (including entire extended families) appear to be unique to the (mostly Pakistani) Muslim community.

Don’t let your commitment to multiculturalism blind you to what’s going on – otherwise you’re part of the problem.

    3. Lee Ann, your instant leap to “racism” and “Islamophobia” is exactly why nobody has ever been willing to address this problem and thousands of little girls have been horrifically abused. You’d rather jail a racist than a rapist.

      Shame on you.

      1. Dear nsr. To my mind the evidence is not showing what is claimed in the podcast and this is what I commented on. You are entitled to your opinions. There is no need for the hostile tone you adopt towards mine.

  4. I’m surprised that you direct your criticism regarding the rape gangs entirely towards the Labour government which has been in power for only 6 months. The Conservative government was in power for 14years during which time the grooming and abuse took place but it did virtually nothing to tackle it. Jess Philips has been far more active in addressing this scandal than any Conservative minister. Strangely you ignore the cronyism, corruption and incompetence of successive Conservative administrations and focus your criticism almost entirely on the Labour Party.

    1. I don’t direct my criticism towards Labour alone – the Tories are just as bad – but Labour are the government in power and they are the only ones who have the power to call an inquiry. The reason that Jess Phillips and others do not want an inquiry is because some Labour MPs are the ones whose seats are in danger from Muslim votes being withdrawn…..This Labour government had inquiries at the drop of a hat – why not have one for the greatest scandal in modern British history?
