I was surprised at your inclusion of Neil Young ‘s After The Gold Rush. While it was always part of the legend, that he never explained the genesis of the song, it was thought to relate to Kurt Vonnegut’s Slaughterhouse-Five novel, published a year earlier in 1969. At the time it provided us, now aged, Hippies with a trendy alternative to mainstream religion. Boy, did we think we had it sussed.
