I am still able to burn wood in my stove as it is an existing stove, I do feel sorry for your mother, does she have a heat pump instead?
No – she couldn’t afford to put a heat pump in…she is a pensioner. And she can still burn wood – its only new builds that are banned….but don’t worry the Greens will soon get round to the old ones as well. My only hope is that in hitching themselves to the Greens the SNP have ensured they are going to be out of power soon….
Hi David
I enjoy your podcasts but looking forward to next week on euthanasia. After seeing what my poor mum went through I’d I knew in old age I was going to suffer like that I’d be asking to be put out of my misery.
However I do realise that God is in charge and of course should have the final day on life and death. But that leaves the question what if he’s not quick enough? What if I get old but instead of God taking me home, I end up in a home with strangers looking after me, washing, dressing, taking me to the toilet?? What if I’m in a lot of pain with arthritis and just sit in a chair all day in front of the telly? Wound that be a good quality of life? No it wouldn’t. My mum said if an animal was suffering they’d put it down yet they allowed humans to suffer. I felt so sad for her then.
God bless you from Dundee

‘Chrislam in Bristol’-WOW! I remain a communicant but do wonder about a-‘spend a penny protest’-and giving the Anglican Church just one pence for 2024-2025. There is the planned £1 Billion fund for slavery reparations, intern abuse cover up on an epic scale with Pilavachi&Co, contempt for the Bible by many clergy. The primacy of 2-3 witnesses, whether in Deuteronomy or the New Testament, has been cynically neglected. Odd how UK law runs with the full witness evidence assessed by an unbiased judge (or group of judges), if-‘natural justice’-is to be respected. Yet the Anglican Church in the modern UK seems to be the one place where kangaroo court justice reigns. It took bravery to publish-‘Concerns substantiated in Mike Pilavachi investigation 06/09/2023’-but there is more work to be done!
