  1. Hello David,

Thankyou for the podcasts I have been listening to them for a few years now, they are excellent.

Regarding what you mentioned about making the podcasts shorter because of the new Scottish hate laws, deeming whatever can be heard in Scotland is regarded as being published in Scotland…..that is quite shocking and alarming to hear.

I am trying to fathom this out, how can the Scottish government prosecute Scottish hate laws on anything that originates outside of Scotland? Surely the Scottish government are getting abit above themselves and need King Canute to teach them what he taught his courtiers. and I qoute – ” who set his throne by the sea shore and commanded the incoming tide to halt and not to wet his feet and robes. Yet “continuing to rise as usual [the tide] dashed over his feet and legs without respect to his royal person. Then the king leapt backwards, saying: ‘Let all men know how empty and worthless is the power of kings, for there is none worthy of the name, but He whom heaven, earth, and sea obey by eternal laws.'” He then hung his gold crown on a crucifix, and never wore it again “to the honour of God the almighty King”. King Canute and the tide – Wikipedia.

If they try to impliment this hate law, there may not be enough policeman in Scotland to chase all the reported cases of potential law breaking going on that their hate law would deem as being hateful. And if they prosecute one or two and ignore loads of others being reported, because they in fact only want to go after those they choose to go after……that surely is wrong? Surely they cant be advocate what George Orwell warned of in his book, 1984?

  2. Hello David,

Christian greetings from Scotland and many thanks for your podcast.

I cried when you mentioned Nadine Dorris on abortion. When Nadine became a politician in 2005 she was asked who her hero was and she answered Jesus. It is so sad to hear heartless politicians who want abortion up to the point of death. Even a silent prayer at an abortion clinic is considered wrong.

As for the Titanic lessons, you are so right that equality would matter more. I understand why the Captain let children and women go ahead of men.

Scotland is sadly seeped in a spiritual darkness and so is the church. May we repent as a nation, and may God bring revival, healing, renewal and transformation. May God deliver us away from darkness back to his glorious light. God Bless Scotland.

God Bless you and your family.
