  1. I very much enjoyed your latest Quantum.
I was impressed with your point that the Sex Pistols were perhaps just as much a carefully managed product as was the Rolling Stones. It was interesting that, earlier this week, John Lydon was on UK television suggesting that The Stones should retire.
Who would have thought that the young man who took part in the infamous Bill Grundy interview would have remained married to the same woman for nearly 50 years and ended up as her sole carer in her final years with Alzheimer’s disease.
The Lord often picks the unlikeliest of people to point us to Him.

  2. David, I would appreciate your reflections on what has been named ‘The Quiet Revival’.
Throughout the nearly seventy years of my life there has been, in the UK and much of the West, a steady decline in the Church as measured by church attendance or affiliation. So pronounced was this decline it was being predicted that the church in the UK would no longer exist during this century.
Now numbers are not everything, but I have been uplifted by the recent substantial increase in church attendance in the last six years- a doubling as measured by the recent Bible Society survey. There has also been an 87% increase in the sales of bibles between 2019 and 2024. Most impressive has been the increase in both these statistics among the younger generation.
Around the country churches have reported a big increase in attendances at Easter services.
This is quite a remarkable change. There is something going on here. People are responding to the message of Jesus.
Let us hope and pray it continues.

    1. Am thinking about it….its not a revival…and its not quiet (which is why we have all heard about it!),,,but there is something happening…

  3. Hi David, love the show and enjoy being kept up to date with what’s happening in the world and how the church is responding (rightly or wrongly). Just a note on your review of Conclave. I agree it was a bit dull though I still enjoyed it with such brilliant actors. The twist at the end was that the new Pope was intersex, not transgender as you mentioned. It’s still a bit of a non-sequitur regardless, and kind of felt that trans idealogy was being suggested, though it was more about whether women could be allowed to be priests or pope. Thanks again for keeping the show going!
