As if that wasn’t enough controversy here is the latest Sunday catechism – on Baptism.

  1. Fascinating! Do we, it sounds odd at one level, need to focus more on psalm 8, and pre-evangelism? ‘What is Man?’ may be the great question in people’s minds. Creation and conscience demand an explanation, if they are studied in even a little fulness or detail. Lots of people seem to change rudder direction spiritually, when they encounter a friend, colleague or relation, who challenges the foundations of their atheist immorality and denial of human dignity.

  2. An interesting video on Baptism. I have come across many Christians who believe infants not be baptised. But the Bible speaks of whole households being baptised. I was baptised as a child and was never taken to church! But at age 13 God began to call me and I started to attend Evensong. I did not know why, but I always felt better as I left. This waxed and waned, but in my thirties I became involved in a local church and at 35 I gave my life to God. I have always argued that God honoured my baptism and called me home. I did not have a second baptism, but had a confirmation service. Many people have queried why I did not have full immersion baptism and I reply because God honoured my baby baptism.
