“Sometimes we misrepresent the gospel message”.
Indeed there is “the sheep know his voice” and as the prophet Amos says “I hate, I despise your religious festivals… Away with the noise of your songs!”
The cross is offensive – it was the most torturous form of death at the time of Jesus. Foolishness to believe in it to some and a stumbling block to others.
Well God’s so called “foolishness” is wiser than a whole load of noise and it’s not fool who gives up what he cannot keep in order to gain what he cannot lose.
I had not heard this worship song before . The words and melody are beautiful. Thank you for sharing !
