  1. Thanks David – I’m finding your recent posts reminiscent of the “Late Call” after then news in the past – do you remember them, parodied by Ricky Fulton wiht the Rev. I.M. Jolly and Rev. W.E. Free?

Yes it is a reassurance that Jesus is closer than any friend. And it seems Job’s friends were doing their best for them, though it seems at times there could have been nothing worse than what they said with attributing his suffering to God’s judgement on him sinning where it was of Satan and he was a righteous man.

I wonder if isolation with lockdown is God’s way for some of us of deepening our relationship with Jesus – what the enemy intends for evil, God uses for good?

The surroundings you are in look amazing – but I’m sure it can’t be much fun with being in lockdown for you. I hope you know the strength and the joy of the Lord in the midst of it!

  2. Apropos of nothing at all other than my observation that you like respectable guitar finger picking :

ZZ Top’s Dusty Hill is here provided with a tribute. Ironic , I suppose, as I have never heard that band play acoustic guitars :
