Teenage Devotional/Apologetic Book

Church youth groups rarely teach apologetics, majoring instead on games & goodies. I am currently researching and writing a devotional/apologetic book for teenagers – mainly for the 14 to 17 age group. This will consist of 52 chapters – each with a prayer, a scripture and a devotional based upon that scripture seeking to answer a key question. More than ever our teenagers are being bombarded with worldviews, mockery and anti-Christian propaganda, which sows not only the seeds of doubt, but can also act like corrosion upon their faith. My aim is to provide something from the word of God, applied to the contemporary teenage culture, which acts as a kind of oil to protect, preserve and grow their faith.

If you would like to  help me in my research for this book then feel free to pass this on to your teenagers to see what kind of questions they would like answered.  (Or if you are a teenager feel free to send me your question direct – I know some teenagers do read this!)  I am seeking to make this a book that will be suitable for teenagers from all over the world.

If you are able to do this – or can pass it on to someone who can – like a youth worker/pastor, then my suggestion is as follows:

Get some questions from young people in the 14-17 age group – (either who are Christians or who are part of the church) and send them to me – as many or as few as you want.   All I need to know is the question (preferably short but can be up to a paragraph) – the name of the questioner, nationality, age, gender and church. The questions can be about anything to do with the bible, church, culture….

I am looking for a total of 52 questions – each one will be answered with a Scripture passage and finish with a prayer.

I hope that makes sense…if you can help or use this then please feel free to do so…if its not appropriate for you that’s fine too!

Obviously I can’t guarantee that every question sent to me will appear in the book…but 52 will!
