When I was speaking in East Kilbride in September, I was approached by a lady who asked me for details of when I would next be speaking on the BBC, because she wanted to pray. The following Sunday we had a wonderful sermon from Dominic Smart in which he pointed out that we are not in this work alone and we must be fervent in prayer for one another. I also read the following: 1 Corinthians 16: “because a great door for effective work has opened to me, and there are many who oppose me. Romans 15:30: I urge you, brothers, by our Lord Jesus Christ and by the love of the Spirit, to join me in my struggle by praying to God for me” . I also mentioned some things to the congregation of St Peters on Sunday evening and several people expressed appreciation and that they would like to pray. So, because its not my work but the Lords, and because prayer is the work, and because I am weak and need the Lords strength, because the battle is fierce and because the Lord appears to be opening many doors I will send out a letter each month, detailing the events,publications, opportunites etc that I know of, for prayer.
This prayer letter is not for publicity or putting on the internet, social media, etc. It is not for fundraising, news or gossip. Its just for those who would like to join me in my own small part in the battle through prayer.
